Dear Attendees,

Considering the most recent surge in COVID-19 outbreaks, related to the Delta variant, the King County Fire Chiefs Executive Board has made the difficult decision to postpone this years’ Leadership Summit, scheduled for September 21-23.

As leaders in the fire service, we believe we must show the same courage and sound judgment we ask of our firefighters, medics, and officers. While the decision to postpone this year’s Summit was very upsetting to all of us, it was clearly the right thing to do under current circumstances.

There were numerous factors that went into this decision including the safety of speakers, vendors, event staff, and you, as a participant. The COVID-related restrictions currently in place at the Clearwater Casino/Hotel further reduced your opportunity to make new personal and professional connections in a relaxed setting.

We are very excited that we had sold out this year’s event, for the first time ever, and we appreciate your help in this milestone. The KCFCA Leadership Summit is a sought-after event as participants look forward to the fantastic presenters, we have had the privilege to participate.

We are working diligently with the hotel, speakers, and sponsors to carry over the same Summit to 2022. The anticipated date for the Leadership Summit is September 20 - 22, 2022 at the Clearwater Casino/Hotel.

There are two options available for your paid registration:

  1. You may choose to roll over your registration and guarantee your seat at the 2022 Leadership Summit.
  2. You can request a full refund.

We encourage you to roll over your registration to the 2022 Leadership Summit. A benefit for you for choosing this option is that you will not incur any potential cost increases in registration cost, and it guarantees you a spot in the Summit, which we hope to sell out, once again.

We are both delighted and honored that you chose to join us at the King County Fire Chiefs Leadership Summit and sincerely hope you will consider joining us next year. IMPORTANT: Please ensure you cancel your hotel reservations directly with the hotel to not incur cancellation fees.

Please contact Jamie Formisano (jformisano@esf-r.org), at your earliest convenience with your choice. If we do not hear back from you by November 1, we will automatically roll over your registration for the 2022 Leadership Summit.
